I’m facing an issue with my toilet as you can see below.
Anyone can guess what shall happen if I try using a plunger here, this mess shall obviously splash around and possibly close my appetite for a week.
As a routine to reduce high water bills caused by flushing the toilet constantly, we set a routine to flush our toilet after it has been used at least 3 times. So you can imagine by the time it’s flushed there’s always a lot of waster accumulated in the bowl. Today after using the toilet, I flushed but the water didn’t go down and instead mixed with all the accumulated waste and filled the toilet and now everything is a mess. My plunger has a short handle and sinks to the bottom when I try using it. I’m now stuck on the possible way I could make this mess go down the drain. I believe the clog isn’t that serious and don’t plan on calling a plumber. Has anyone here faced this situation in the past? How did you unclog a full toilet without using a plunger?
Thanks in advance guys.
Hi, sorry fo your situation. I understand how frustrating it can be but the good news is that a blocked toilet can be unblocked without necessarily using a plunger.A toilet can be unclogged by adding vinegar and baking soda to the toilet bowl. The first step is to add 1-2 cups of baking soda on average to the toilet bowl. You then wait for 10-15 minutes and then add a cup of vinegar to the toilet bowl. After doing this, wait for 30 minutes on average for the substances to take effect. When the time lapses, try flushing down the toilet.
Another effective way of unclogging your toilet without using a plunger is by using hot water and dish soap. The first step is to cut a piece of dish soap and place it in the toilet bowl. Let the bar soap settle for about 20 minutes. This is enough time for the dish soap to soften and dissolve. Heat up to 5 jugs of water. Transfer the water to a container when still hot and pour the water gently into the toilet. Try flushing down the toilet. There are other ways of unclogging the toilet without a plunger but these methods are too harsh and end up destroying the toilet ceramic. These are, therefore, the safest ways of unclogging the toilet without using a plunger.
