I’m facing an issue with my toilet as you can see below.
Anyone can guess what shall happen if I try using a plunger here, this mess shall obviously splash around and possibly close my appetite for a week.
As a routine to reduce high water bills caused by flushing the toilet constantly, we set a routine to flush our toilet after it has been used at least 3 times. So you can imagine by the time it’s flushed there’s always a lot of waster accumulated in the bowl. Today after using the toilet, I flushed but the water didn’t go down and instead mixed with all the accumulated waste and filled the toilet and now everything is a mess. My plunger has a short handle and sinks to the bottom when I try using it. I’m now stuck on the possible way I could make this mess go down the drain. I believe the clog isn’t that serious and don’t plan on calling a plumber. Has anyone here faced this situation in the past? How did you unclog a full toilet without using a plunger?
Thanks in advance guys.
Ofcourse using a plunger is old school and messy. What irritates me most when using a plunger to unclog such a full toilet is the splutter and splash of poo that might land on me.
The best easy, clean, cheap and safe way to unclog a toilet without a plunger nowadays is using a plastic wrap. In case you don’t have a plastic wrap at home, you can get quality plastic wraps from Amazon here. Once you have a plastic wrap follow the steps below to unblock your toilet easily.
How To Unblock A Clogged Toilet By Yourself Using A Plastic Wrap
- Wear protective gear to avoid contamination. This involves wearing gloves, a face mask and goggles.
- Wipe dry the edges of the top of your toilet seat using toilet paper so that the plastic wrap can stick.
- Once it’s dry, now wrap the plastic wrap to cover the top of your toilet bowl like in the picture below.
3. Now flush the toilet and watch it unblock easily. In case it does not get unclogged with a single flush, just flush again untill enough pressure builds up to force any material that is blocking the toilet down the drain.
